Metal Border of Lapel pins

All enamel pins need the metal border, have you noticed that?

Why?

-- First I need to tell you that, the enamel color before baking is liquid, like the paint.

-- Now you can image, to let the liquid color won't mix with each other, do we need some thing separate it?

-- Yes, Metal border. we use the metal border to separate the different colors to avoid mix.
