Epoxy has a wide range of applications, including metal coatings, use in electronics / electrical components, high tension electrical insulators, fiber-reinforced plastic materials and structural adhesives.

As one of the applications, epoxy covers almost all of the print pins.

After print the colors on the metal pins surface, the factory workers add the epoxy on the pin surface to cover the print colors, which will protect it and let the color won’t be scratched, more durable to keep long time about 3years.

Certainly some soft enamel lapel pins also coved the epoxy that way the epoxy will protect the metal won’t get rust.

Also the epoxy will let the pins to be more shinny and better looking, it will like half ball dome on the surface. To make print pins, we prefer using the hard epoxy than soft epoxy.
